Accomplishments from the Class of 2003

DLHS Congratulates Miss Black Tennessee & Miss South Carolina

DLHS is proud to announce that two members of the Class of 2003 have recieved tremendous honors.

LaDonna Boyd was crowned Miss Black Tennessee 2009 on October 25th. LaDonna, a Lipscomb "Lifer" is the first of three siblings to have graduated from DLHS. Her sister, Shalae graduated in 2006 followed by her brother, Justin in 2009. Appropriately, her Senior quote listed in the 2003 yearbook is Proverbs 31:30; "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Kelly Sloan is the current Miss South Carolina. While at DLHS, she was a National Honor Society Inductee and graduated with honors. While in college, Kelly was frequently listed on the Dean's/President's List.  Kelly's siblings, Holly and Jennifer both attended the Campus School as well.  Kelly will soon begin the preparation for the Miss USA Pageant to be held later this school year.  For more information about her success, click here.

Our sincerest congratulations go to these two ladies on these outstanding achievements!  They are both outstanding role models for young women at Lipscomb and throughout the country.  Best of Luck as they continue in their respective areas.
